XMAS Party December 11th 2025
The garden club held its annual Xmas party on Thursday December 11th. A total of 59 members attended for an afternoon of games, horticultural quizzes, a table decoration competition and general merriment. All this fun was accompanied with a tasty afternoon buffet of sandwiches, savouries and deserts. The following photo’s show some of the winners on the day and of how members enjoyed the activities of the day. We also held the draw for the bumper Christmas Hamper.
Once again a big thank you to all the committee and other members who helped to organise what was such a fun event, your time and comimttment is much appreciated.
Wishing all members a joyous festive season and wonderful 2026. Next Meeting Thursday January 22rd

With a total of 10 entries in our Festive Table Decoration competition this year the voting for the best decoration was a difficult task with so many excellent entries. Our winner this year was Lynn McBrien with a modern take on a festive table decoration.
The afternoon contained a number of challenges for the attendees which included the ‘SOCK GAME’ in which members had to guess what was hidden in the socks simply by feel.
Once again the master of ceremonies was dressed to impress in festive head dress and specs..
The afternoon finished with the draw for the luxury Xmas hamper. Eileen & Tony Bunting once again did sterling work for the club in selling tickets for the hamper, all profits going to subsidise member events. The lucky winner this year was a joint ticket between Eileen Bunting and her friend Sue Simpson.
